Why we price this way

Most consulting diagnostics are priced by the hour, which incentivizes the wrong things. Ours is fixed because the deliverable is the same regardless of how long it takes us. You know the cost going in, we own the timeline, and we eat the risk if it takes longer than expected.

Honest disclaimers

What the Health Check isn't.

A few honest disclaimers, because not every engagement is a fit:

  • It's not a sales pitch in disguise.

    ~40% of Health Check clients don't engage StratX further. They take the roadmap and execute internally. That's a successful outcome for us.

  • It's not a 50-page slide deck.

    You're getting a tight, actionable document, not a McKinsey-style binder you'll never open again.

  • It's not implementation.

    We diagnose, prioritize, and quantify. If you want us to build and run the fixes, that's a separate engagement (Project, Fractional Leadership, or Managed Services).

  • It's not for everyone.

Two big differences. First, we're independent: we don't sell software, so the roadmap doesn't conveniently recommend buying Gainsight or ChurnZero unless you actually need it. Second, we're practitioners, not auditors. The people running your Health Check have personally built and led CS, Implementation, and Operations functions at growth-stage SaaS companies. The recommendations are operating recommendations, not theoretical ones.
